Antique Upholstery & Furniture Reupholstery
Jason Snook Antique Restoration offers a range of services, including upholstery restoration. If the fabric is starting to wear on your beautiful Victoria armchair or the leather is beginning to crack on your Art Deco sofa, our furniture upholstery service can restore it to its former glory.
Our furniture upholstery restoration service includes:
- Thorough consultation with yourself to ensure the finished piece looks as you imagined
- Fabrics and materials faithful to the era of your piece in both construction and colours
- Replacement of webbing or springs to restore the comfort of the piece as well as the look
- If necessary, re-gluing and re-polishing of frames
Every care is taken to avoid damaging the non-upholstery components of the furniture. If they have fallen into disrepair we can restore them at the same time as the upholstery.
Jason has a wide experience working with antique upholstery from a range of eras. He began his career in furniture restoration at the London College of Furniture where he earned a Certificate in Furniture Craft and received a distinction in Timber Preparation. A four year apprenticeship in the English county of Surrey broadened and deepened his skills, preparing him to open up his own shop after moving to Melbourne in 1991. Since then, Jason has been offering exquisite re upholstery and furniture restoration for a range of clients, including Government House, National Trusts of Australia, and many happy homeowners.
